An historic preservation project, the 800 Dekum building is a story of neighborhood revitalization and is evidence of The Sakura Group’s commitment to providing long-term benefits to every building’s surrounding community. Located along an historic streetcar route in the Woodlawn Neighborhood of NE Portland, this corner storefront building had become rundown, and the area around it was considered blighted. Along with investment from businesses, developers, and The Sakura Group, the Woodlawn neighborhood is seeing a vibrant rebirth. Today, the 800 Dekum building is home to Good Neighbor Pizzeria , a sustainably focused, organic restaurant that has become a community anchor, meeting center, and a creative inspiration to its neighbors.
